A world where human beings live in harmony with their environment and the lives of all beings are respected equally is not possible without improving animal welfare worldwide.
Animal welfare has a major impact on several areas related to sustainability, as for example environmental health, protection and regeneration, human´s health and welfare, economic and social development, among others.
The vision and objectives of the UN´s 2030 Agenda can only be accomplished if animal welfare is considered and mainstreamed into policies and interventions at all scales.
